Original publications made using the blocks are also reproduced in several cases, and the original models of firearms in the blocks are identified and, where notable, photographed. In addition to a beautiful selection of images and graphic artistry, the book includes information about the history and use of the printing blocks, as well as a discussion of the processes used to make the blocks and an analysis of the printing techniques and use types relevant to this material.
